Life of Hazrat Fatima Zahra (PBUH) a Timeless Model for Muslim Women

Chairman of the Shia Ulema Council of Pakistan, Hojatoleslam Syed Sajid Ali Naqvi, says the luminous and principled life of Hazrat Fatima Zahra (peace be upon her) offers a complete and enduring model for Muslim women in all stages of life — as a daughter, wife, and mother.

Hawzah News Agency- In a message released on the occasion of her martyrdom anniversary, Naqvi said the life of the daughter of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) has always served as “a radiant torch illuminating the path of dignity, morality, and awareness for Muslim women across generations.”

An Exemplary Model in All Roles

The senior Pakistani cleric noted that Hazrat Fatima Zahra (PBUH) laid the foundations of an ideal Islamic society through her knowledge, piety, insight, and steadfastness.

“According to the guidance of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), Lady Fatima Zahra (PBUH) stands as the highest example of conduct for women in every dimension of life,” he said.
“As a daughter, she was a source of comfort to the Prophet (PBUH). As a wife and mother, she presented a lifestyle that remains unmatched and deeply relevant for women today.”

Hojatoleslam Naqvi highlighted that despite her elevated spiritual status, Hazrat Fatima (PBUH) was at the forefront of household responsibilities — performing daily tasks such as cleaning, preparing food, spinning, and grinding grain, while also nurturing her children.
Her compassionate behavior toward her maid, he added, reflects her noble character and moral excellence.

Guidance for Today’s Muslim Society

Referring to the current challenges facing the Muslim world, Naqvi stressed the need to draw on the example of Hazrat Fatima (PBUH) to advance the dignity, empowerment, and freedom of Muslim women.

“In today’s critical circumstances, the Muslim world must look to the life of Hazrat Zahra (PBUH) to build a conscious, resilient, and reforming generation,” he said.
“She was raised in the pure household of the Messenger of God (PBUH), and her life is filled with lessons vital for shaping the future of our society.”

A Call to Follow Her Path

The Shia Ulema Council chairman concluded by urging Muslim women to make the character, words, and conduct of Hazrat Fatima Zahra (PBUH) their guiding light in all spheres — from family life and parenting to social engagement.

“By raising righteous, committed generations, women can lead society toward reform, progress, and excellence,” he emphasized.
